Canon Releases the NEW 1D Mark III
professional digital SLR
Canon has just announced the release of their new D1s Mark III 21.1 mega-pixel digital SLR. It sports a full-frame CMOS sensor a 45 point auto-focus system, and a 3 inch LCD on the back to preview your images. The new flagship camera will sell for $8000, so it's not likely to attract any but pros with the deepest pockets. The big question is how many pixels can you cram into the space of a 35mm sensor before you create too much noise? We'll see if this camera actually has the BEST image quality and fine detail or has reached the point of diminishng returns after we've had some play time with one. Canon also announced a 10.1 mega-pixel DSLR with a 3 inch LCD dubbed the 40D. This camera is aimed at the $1200 price bracket. It will hit the market in big numbers.
