Canon releases two new lenses
EF 50mm 1.2 USM, EF70-200mm f/4 IS (image stabilizing)

Canon releases two new lenses.

First is a 50mm 1.2 aperture USM lens that will be fantastic for low-light portraits on digital SLRs. This is the sort of lens that would be great for photo work in recording studios or museums where flash is either not permitted or a big distraction. This lens had great depth of field range and is FAST!

The second lens, an EF70-200mm f/4.0 IS USM lens, is not as expensive as the 70-200mm f/2.8 and offers the same image stabilization technology. This should give cost-conscious shooters another alternative that will provide great performance when you don't need the speed of a 2.8 aperture. I expect a lot of professional outdoor photographers will give this lens a serious look.
