Pentax 10 mega-pixel DSLR

coming this fall season (2006)

Pentax has announced the coming of a ten mega-pixel digital SLR slated for an autumn release, in time for the holiday buying season.

With the quality of Pentax Digital SLRs (*ist D, DS, DS2, DL, DL2) being what it is, I can't wait to get my hands of one of these new cameras.

This is exactly what Pentax needs in its stable to compete with Canon and Nikon. Right now, the company has great cameras with nice feature sets. They are compact, lightweight, reliable and easy to use, but, people buy pixel counts and introducing a ten mega-pixel camera will give them a much needed addition to their product line.

We will update this page once we find out when we can expect to see this camera hit the market. Personally, I can't wait.
