Pentax 18 mega-pixel Medium Format at Photokina

Pentax will be showing a new 18 mega-pixel MEDIUM FORMAT digital SLR camera at Photokina and three new lenses for it as well.

For professional photographers who still love to shoot medium format equipment, this should generate a lot of interest. I'd expect a price that is at least five times higher than Pentax 35mm type digital SLR bodies. Here is a look at it.

The interesting news is that Pentax says, on their website that they will be taking this camera series to the 30 mega-pixel level in the future. That should produce some fantastic images.
