Pentax has released flash updates to accommodate the new high-performance, high capacity "SDHC" memory cards. There are flash updates for the firmware of the *ist DS, DL, DS2, and DL2 be sure you get the right one.

Click the letter designation for your camera to download the update (i.e. "DS" or "DS2")

If you have never done a flash update before, it is best to use an AC power source and battery backup or put fresh batteries in your camera. If the flash is interrupted, your camera is toast. Just take that little bit of caution and there will be no cause for alarm. I have flashed several cameras in the past and never had a problem.
